Early in 2019 I was re-reading through the New Testament; and, was paying close attention to the argumentation between Messiah; and, the Pharisees in the four gospels. My intention at that time was to work on a study showing the various topics Yeshua argued with the Pharisees about. The topics He debates them on are subject matter contained in the Oral Torah (Mishnah, Talmud, Gemara).
I was reading in Matthew 22 specifically when I took note of Messiah challenging them about the alleged genealogy. He does it again in Mark 12; and, again in Luke 20. This study led me in three various directions specifically because in these passages"Jesus" is challenging the existing thinking at that time about the genealogy of Messiah.
First I began looking into the genealogies listed in Matthew; and, Luke; and, their alleged challenges. That is an independent study which I will also be adding to this blog at a later date. Just not today.
The second direction it took me was straight into the Psalms; specifically Psalm 110:1-7 because that is the Psalm He quotes in all three passages.
The LORD (יהוה) said to My Lord (לאדני), "Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies Your footstool." The LORD (יהוה) shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; In the beauties of Holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the dew of Your youth. The LORD (יהוה) has sworn and will not relent, "You are a priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek."
The Lord (אדני) is at your right hand; He shall execute Kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the Nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. He shall drink of the brook of the wayside; therefore He shall lift up the head.
This Psalm is PREGNANT with meaning.
So what occurred was I noticed that in ENGLISH we see the following "LORD" and, "Lord" not really much difference at all actually. However when we examine the Hebrew text it shows us there are two different terms; and, they appear; and, are used in a very interesting way.
I decided to study out the Usage and Appearance of the term "Lord" (אדני) which is "Adonai." meaning Master, Lord, Husband. It appears a total of (675) times in the text of the TaNaK; while LORD (יהוה) appears over 7,000 times. Obviously I selected the one that was considerably less (Adonai); and, it took almost nine months to examine ALL of them thoroughly.
One of the Bible teachers I like to listen to is Dr. Michael Heiser who teaches on the Divine Council; and, has written some EXCELLENT books on how the Mesopotamian flood mythology; and, the Biblical accounts match on ALL POINTS. They are just written from opposite perspectives. One perspective is Scriptural with the theological position of the Creator explained; and, the other is written from the perspective of the civilization that was doomed.
One of the things Dr. Heiser likes to say is that if it is unusual it is probably important.
So as I was examining these appearance I discovered that there were several categories I could easily automatically dismiss as being relevant which narrowed the scope of the study. This term is used in the following ways in the TaNaK:
1. Inanimate metal connectors within the Tabernacle Complex2. The Title for Gentile Kings as in when Abraham address Abimelech3. The title for husbands as when Rebecca; Sarah; or Rachel address their husbands.4. What I also discovered was a particular usage that was profound. It is used in Connection with the Tetragrammaton YAHUAH (יהוה). What we find is that this title is EXCLUSIVELY held by a being who has multiple titles; but, ISN'T YAHUAH (יהוה) [The Heavenly Father].
This being is repeatedly called "The Angel of the LORD;" and, "The Word of the LORD." These are TITLES for the Messenger who becomes flesh; given to us that we might SEE; HEAR; and, UNDERSTAND who He REALLY IS.
The documents you see below are the passages within the text that I studied; and, the (3) three part study which came OUT of the data below that led to it.
For MANY years I desired to know where Moses wrote of Messiah; the problem was I was looking for Jesus; instead of looking for what He was called BEFORE HE DWELT IN A TENT OF FLESH; because according to the New Testament HE IS THE CREATOR. He pre-existed the tent of flesh that wasn't sewn inside the womb of Miriam until the proper time.
HE is the Conduit through which the Heavenly Father YAHUAH (יהוה) DOES ALL THE WORK upon the earth. He is the manifestation of the Heavenly Father in the flesh.
